EL VALOR DEL ARTE PARA EL APRENDIZAJE HISTOLÓGICO. APORTES DESDE UNA ESCUELA MÉDICA ARGENTINA THE VALUE OF ART FOR HISTOLOGICAL LEARNING. Original Correspondencia RESUMEN El arte ha sido reciente aunque escasamente utilizado como herramienta de aprendizaje en Histología. El presente trabajo reporta su aplicación y su posible impacto en el aprendizaje en distintos contenidos histológicos durante dos cursos sucesivos de formación de auxiliares alumnos para docentes de tal disciplina (45 alumnos (29 mujeres y 16 varones) en 2022 y 43 (30 mujeres y 13 varones) en 2023) en una escuela médica de Argentina. Todos ellos estudiaban Medicna. Varias obras artísticas fueron empleadas intentando motivar e incentivar dicho aprendizaje. Concluido cada curso, los participantes completaron una hoja de registro con cuestionario abierto diseñada por los autores y habilitada éticamente por el correspondiente Comité ad hoc. Cuantitativamente, la casi totalidad de los estudiantes consideró ventajosa la experiencia, desconocía las obras de arte empleadas, percibió compatibilidad entre las obras y los contenidos en estudio y apoyo continuidad de la experiencia. Cualitativamente, varias ventajas como incremento de la motivación, mejora del aprendizaje, desarrollo y afirmación de competencias útiles a futuro y generación de inquietudes culturales que exceden a los contenidos específicos abordados, fueron señalados entre otros beneficios, Estos resultados confirmarían el relevante valor del arte para el aprendizaje histológico, sea cual sea el formato curricular vigente. ABSTRACT The art has been recent but rarely used as a learning tool in Histology. The present paper reports its application and its possible impact for learning different histological contents during two successive training courses of student assistants for teachers of such discipline (45 students (29 women and 16 men) in 2022 and 43 (30 women and 13 men) in 2023) at a medical school in Argentina. All of them studied Medicine. Several artistic works were used trying to motivate and encourage said learning. After each course, participants completed a registration sheet with an open questionnaire designed by the authors and ethically authorized by the corresponding ad hoc Committee. Quantitatively, almost all of the students considered the experience advantageous, were unaware of the works of art used, perceived compatibility between the works and the content under study, and supported continuity of the experience. Qualitatively, several advantages such as increased motivation, improved learning, development and affirmation of useful competencies in the future and generation of cultural concerns that exceed the specific contents addressed, were noticed among other benefits. These results would confirm the relevant value of art for histological learning, whatever the current curricular format. Keywords: Art; Learning; Histology; Medicine; Argentina.
